An Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program for consumers who are at least 18 years of age with problems of alcohol and/or drug abuse. The program combines psycho-education and group therapy components in a program as consumers progress in their recovery program. Consumers focus on addiction, family issues, healthy expression of feelings, relapse warning signs and the ongoing recovery process. Family participation is an expectation as addiction affects all members of the family.
Day Treatment Program
To educate consumers about the disease of addiction, help them to structure their lives, and assist them with re-entering the workforce. We serve substance abusers who are at least 18 years of age. This 8-week (30 hours per week) program offers psycho-educational and therapeutic groups which focus on self-diagnosis, improved coping skills, building trust, identifying relapse triggers, developing healthy relationships, and learning to live a clean and sober life. Emphasis is on relapse prevention and skill building that clients require to successfully re-integrate into the community. After successfully completing this program, clients are referred to our Behavioral HealthCare program. Transportation may be arranged for clients to attend this program. Participation in services by family members, including children, is strongly encouraged.
Prevention
Provides a continuum of services to youth and their families to help prevent the development of substance abuse problems. We provide a variety of educational and support groups as well a an alternative summer camp to schools and the community. Staff is available to consult, coordinate, or make referrals to schools and community agencies, as well as give presentations and workshops on substance abuse and prevention-related topics.
Supportive Residential Services
Supportive residential services for adults who are actively engaged in substance abuse treatment and who lack appropriate, stable housing. This program offers a safe, drug-free environment, counseling and case management services to clients who meet criteria for program admission. A full-time staff person and contract staff coordinates services and provides on-site monitoring and support. Clients are required to remain free of all mood-altering drugs and receive frequent drug testing. The residential services counselor provides training in the areas of budgeting, hygiene, housekeeping, cooking and time management. Two (2) residences available, one to serve women and another for men.
Criminal Justice Services
To provide substance abuse services to the criminal justice population. We serve individuals with addictive disorders who are incarcerated in the Augusta County Jail, clients of the Probation and Parole system, and clients of the General District and Circuit Courts. We also serve their families including children. Clients are served through a variety of programs. We also offer substance abuse education groups, individual and group counseling, and case management. Services available to inmates and probationers only.
Outpatient Services
Provide outpatient substance abuse services including individual, group and family psychotherapy. Services available to aid individuals who are at least 18 years of age and experiencing life problems to become healthier and more functional .
New Hope Detox
To provide a safe social setting detoxification from alcohol and other drugs, by helping clients begin to gain insight into the impact chemicals have on their lives, and to link them with follow-up treatment services. We serve substance abusers who are at least 18 years of age and who are in a state of intoxication from or are withdrawing from mood-altering drugs. The program consists of two educational/process groups, daily recreation and supportive counseling. Local Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous groups conduct on-site meetings nightly. Staff also assists clients in making arrangements for further treatment.
